Today sees the launch of the second Freedom at Topshop jewellery collection, created as part of a collaboration with Central Saint Martins. Second-year BA Jewellery Design students were briefed to created a collection inspired by ‘women and power’.
We shared the news with you earlier this year when Lucie was announced as the winner with her temporary tattoos. She has spent the last 6 months developing the designs withthe Topshop design and production teams.
In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, Lucie says:
“I think if everyone can come to terms with the fact that we are all not perfect (and that that’s a good and beautiful thing) I feel the world would be a slightly more positive place with less pressure to meet unrealistic goals.” She hopes her work will “encourage people to see differently…to question notions of jewellery and inspire a greater appreciation and ownership of ourselves – to turn our vulnerabilities and differences into something powerful and worthy of flaunting.”
